I chose to come to this store today "knowing I would pay more" than if I had shopped online, out-of-town or through Azure Standard because I like to support local business in my community whenever I can. I had filled a bag of bulk food and asked the older, heavy set lady with long white/blond hair behind the counter if she needed me to write down a code/number for my bulk item. She then replies with most condescending and sarcastic tone "It's obviously popcorn" while rolling her eyes. WOW... why be so rude? I was only asking to in an effort to make her job easier. I then put back my items and told her "I would rather spend my money elsewhere"... She offered no apology for her behavior just a another rude glance. I do not like to give bad reviews but this was completely out of line and unprovoked. Since this was the only thing I said to her I can only assume her issue was based on appearance. But I am not willing to pay more locally to be treated so disrespectfully. Azure Standard and Mama Jean's both have far more polite clerks so I think my family and I would rather drive to Springfield or order monthly and save our money while being treated with the same kindness, courtesy and respect we showed this woman. For those needing practical info... this is a small store with limited selection of brands, though they do appear to try. There is a small selection of refrigerated, frozen and bulk foods. They also have a limited selection of popular supplements. The store is clean. Prices are higher than you would find in health food stores in larger cities like Joplin, Springfield, Kansas City & St. Louis.
It's a blessing to have this beautiful store in our community. The staff is knowledgeable, patient and kind. I appreciate the vast variety of items from herbs and vitamins to lotions and organic nuts. And even yummy healthy chocolate if you so desire.

Not only was everything extremely overpriced, but the staff was atrocious. One woman (a dark haired lady) was very polite. However, the blonde woman (apparently the owner, Soni) was obnoxious and rude. Not only did this obtuse woman get onto me for using a card, she berated me over it in an extremely condescending way. I've never been treated so poorly by an employee anywhere. I will never be going back and definitely let others know what kind of person the owner is.
