UPDATE:
I had nothing but great things to say the first time I had to go to this hospital but this time.. not so much. Was seen very quickly both times which is almost unheard of in an emergency room so that's a plus but care was not good this time. Was seen again for blood in my urine and a bad UTI. No tests done, not even blood work. Was in and out within 45 minutes which would've been great but no care was received. Was placed again on the same antibiotic I had been put on when I was seen about a month ago which obviously did not work because the infection is still very much present, in face worse than before so why would the same antibiotic be used? The doctor and NP from my first visit were fantastic unlike this time. NP was was alright but dr Easton (?) spent a whole 3 seconds in there and seemed bothered even for that amount of time. You'd think after having a UTI for over a month now with it steadily getting worse, not better, would call for a new antibiotic. I've had plenty of UTI's growing up in which most just passed on its own or with a visit to a PCP, not the emergency room but with this one being a month long and causing tears.. you'd think it wouldn't take a genius to realize maybe the antibiotic isn't working. Left there, threw the prescription in the trash on the way out and went down to Mercy because I knew something wasn't right and they basically laughed at the course of action taken because I needed a strong course of antibiotics in which the first dose was taken via and IV because it's so important to get the amount of infection that I have controlled. I get a UTI isn't a big deal and probably gets laughed at behind closed doors for visiting an ER for but to be treated as a burden in a practically empty ER on a Wednesday night isn't stellar. After this experience, I'd rather spend the 4.5 hours in the mercy ER compared to the 45 minute at Cox to actually get cared for and spoken with for more than 3 seconds my the doctor. The wait is worth it at Mercy.
Wish I could could give it a zero no help at this place almost coast me a family member twice.

Needed to be seen for blood in urine and serious right side pain after being seen at Freeman in Joplin the day before. Doctor at Freeman gave me a total of 6 antibiotics (a 2 day supply) and a few pain pills, said I had a UTI and passed a kidney stone and sent me on my way. Experience was indifferent at Freeman - not great. Pain and symptoms got worse and bad enough that I needed to go back but decided to go to Monett this time to try and get some actual help this time around. The nurse practitioner, Jeanie, was fabulous. Took all my paperwork in front freeman the night before and they ran urine again and said I had a massive UTI with a possible kidney infection. Said 2 days of antibiotics was simply pathetic and wouldn't even touch it how bad the infection was and sent me home with a reasonable simply of pain medicine unlike freeman even though the pain was pretty significant. Thankful to have made the choice to be seen here by doctors and staff who actually seemed to want to help me feel better rather than to get you in and out of the door. Would recommend this facility to anyone.
Was seen quickly. The staff was very accomadating and nice. They made sure they covered all the bases and got me out quickly.
