I am disappointed that I can't leave a 'no star' feedback rating. I spoke at length to the service reps at this location, and advised that I lived 1/2 mile from the store and AT&T technical department advised there were no future plans to extend hard wired internet service to my location. They suggested using their home hot spot. I allowed them to talk me into this option, but they were out of the devices. I said I was going to Springfield anyway and could see if they had one. They smiled and said that would be swell. After getting the device in republic and returning home I discovered that even though I was only 1/2 mile from the store where they showed me speed tests running at 24Mbs that I could only get at most 5Mbs...? I went back the the MONETT store and tested the device there, and it did indeed get 21Mbs. Well, they said I could return it within 7 days if I couldn't get a good signal. I returned home and tested the signal all over the house, no dice. After making my fourth trip to an AT&T store, the third one to the local Monett location, I was walking in with the device and was greeted with 'Your probably not going to like what I have to tell you...you have to return the device to the location where you purchased it.' Huh. This was the FIRST time that little point had been mentioned, even though BOTH locations were aware that I was planning on getting the device in a location that was 45 min out of town. How very thoughtful of them. I have never heard ANY good praise for AT&T, and it is my own fault I chose to do business with them. I will continue to use my TMobile device at my location which is able to produce a reliable 16Mbs down with no data limits and no throttle concerns. This was purchased from 'unlimitedville'. Another fun fact; The Republic store talked me into using the unlimited data plan instead of the unadvertised 250Gb plan I was offered in Monett. I said 'but it is throttled, and the 250Gb plan is not' and he said 'don't worry, I haven't had ANY of my customers get throttled.' Upon speaking to Monett I was told that I would almost certainly get throttled if I ventured into Springfield with it and I happened to be over my ##Gb limit... and I told both locations up front that I travel on the weekends with the device. On top of that, Monett advised me that IF I was over my data limit when I ventured into Springfield and was throttled, that I would then REMAIN throttled for the rest of the billing period.
I went in here very defensive because when I called ATT customer support to inquire about adding a line to a current plan the "support" lady was acting like a full blown salesmen. I figured if the "support" people are pushing useless trash like overpriced TV Subscriptions and trying to convince us to finance a crappy phone for $600 then their actual sales people are probably gonna be 10x worse. I was very happy that when our time came up to be helped these nice people they didn't try push ANYTHING on us. They had my brand newish phone activated in about 15-20 min and we were out the door. Thank you Monett AT&T!
Nothing but the best service from the employees here. They resolved my issues in a timely manner and had me laughing and engaged the entire time. As for the other review on here, you can't make everyone happy every time.
